Our client, a well established, internationally active trading company headquartered in the heart of Vienna, specialises in the global trade of paper, board and pulp, serving well-known customers across various regions of the world with its well-coordinated, collegial team. Following a successful strategic realignment, the company is on a solid growth trajectory and is now seeking a sales-driven, entrepreneurially minded personality to manage the North African market — someone who not only secures the status quo but actively unlocks potential with commitment and vision, and who aspires to take on a key role in the further development of the ortanisation.
International Sales Manager Pulp & Paper (f/m/x)
Your Market. Your Network. Your Future.
Aufgaben As the central point of contact for customers and suppliers in the North African region — with a focus on Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia as well as Libya and Mauritania — you assume responsibility for an attractive existing business volume and actively develop it. You will be supported by a competent back-office team and act as the interface between pulp & paper producers from around the world and local processing companies of your region, bringing your instinct for market movements and an understanding of supplier and customer needs. You prepare quotations, conduct price negotiations and maintain a resilient network at decision-maker level. Occasional trade fair visits as well as international travel of approximately 30 percent are naturally part of the role. Depending on prior experience, markets such as Greece or Turkey may also fall within your area of responsibility. For candidates with the corresponding development potential, the position offers a clear perspective towards assuming the role of Managing Director.
Qualifikationen We are looking for a commercially educated personality — whether from a commerical business college, university of applied sciences or university background — with solid experience in international trade, ideally three to four years within the pulp & paper or board industry and with demonstrable market knowledge in North Africa. Alternatively, we welcome applications from candidates with comparable sales experience in related product segments or in other regions such as Turkey or Greece. You possess pronounced sales strength, a confident presence in negotiations and excellent communication skills. You are proficient in English at a business-fluent level, both spoken and written; conversational French is equally required. Knowledge of Arabic or German is a welcome advantage. On a personal level, you are characterised by independence, sociability and a polished, reliable manner.
Wir bieten You may look forward to a varied sales role with a high degree of personal responsibility within a stable, collegial team defined by flat hierarchies and an open, supportive atmosphere. The compensation package includes an attractive annual gross salary starting from € 100,000.- all-in including bonus (approximately 15–20%), a possible company car, and — in the medium term — a genuine perspective on assuming a further management role. Your place of work is Vienna or remote; international travel of approximately 30 percent is an integral part of the role. WEFS1_AT
